Borgo delle Vigne Agritourism is located in a converted barn, nestled a hilly area rich in history and tradition. The Bolognese composer Ottorino Respighi was one of many visitors who found inspiration in this countryside and he composed his symphonic poem “I Pini di Roma” during his stay here in 1924.
Visitors will soon discover that Borgo delle Vigne is the ideal place for exploring this area, whether walking or cycling along the well worn paths, or enjoying the world famous cuisine of Bologna in our restaurant, paired with superb Gaggioli wines. Borgo delle Vigne welcomes you for a holiday, a short break or for creating happy memories with friends and family on a day out.
Children can play safely in our gardens and 4 legged friends are always welcome.

We have 7 delightful rooms, each with large windows offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills and vineyard. Our corteous and competent staff are here to welcome you, we are open 7 days a week with check-in until 8pm. Check out is latest 11am.
Relax and enjoy traditional Bolognese cuisine from our restaurant which always features a seasonal menu. The restaurant is open for dinner from Thursday to Saturday and for lunch on Sundays and holidays. Further days and times for groups of 10 or more are available on request. You can enjoy a glass of wine at any time of the day as well as with meals.

Our outdoor areas and dining rooms are all perfect for special occasions and events. Celebrations for Birthdays, graduations and weddings have all been held at Borgo delle Vigne.
We are easily accessible with no architectural barriers and there is ample parking for cars, coaches, motorbikes and cycles. Borgo delle Vigne Agritourism has been a winner of the “Premio Ospitalità” (Hospitality award) for many years now.
We are proud to have hosted such well-known figures as Francis Bacon in 1996, Nobel Prize winner Dario Fo – who painted a picture for Carlo Gaggioli – and Aldo Borgonzoni, Gino Pellegrini, Umberto Sgarzi, Francesco Martani, Sara Bolzani and Nicola Zamboni.
You can rest assured that the health and safety of our guests is always a priority, especially during this time of Covid 19 and we comply with all current regional and national regulations.
All surfaces and touch points are sanitised regularly and all rooms are deep cleaned and sanitised daily.
History and Wine
The Brentatori, carrying the traditional Brenta, have for centuries transported grapes and must from these hills to the City of Bologna. Generations of farmers and vintners have passed on their love for and knowledge of this area, as testified by the numerous vineyards covering the Colli Bolognesi.
Culture and Wine
Borgo delle Vigne also has a well- stocked library – the Letizia Library– where our guests are always welcome. Housed in “La Tavernetta” guests can relax here with a good book and a glass of Gaggioli wine.
